Iconic Cube lovers congregate

Kids_rebecca_l Personally I hated the multi-coloured brick yet think that might have to do with my limited attention span. Fans of Rubik's Cube can now hang out at a website devoted to said item and visit forums, discover hitherto unknown facts and find solutions to get your cube back to the state it was before you embarked on your mission to mix it up. The site, rubiks.com - I'm off to bang my head against a brick wall for half and hour instead.

Gadgets go Ga-Ga

Firetots One of our favourite e-tailers have just announced their all new area aimed at kids, Firebox have shown us their wares over at Firetots and we love the lot. A mixture of classics from Fisher Price and spanking new stuff like Rainbow in My room and Baby Shhh - Start your tots in the gadget way early and they'll repay you in later life with gifts that you actually want.

Pleo Plus

New tricks now available over at Pleoworld for your adorable Dino, now he can recognise the leaf and will sit when prompted (rather than after an eternity of chin stroking) and might even catch a cold, a real stinker too. You can also alter his walking strides to higher steps (you rich folk with expensive thick piled carpet) and there is plenty more on offer in LifeOS 1.1 - we're currently making boots for our Pleo so we can take him outdoors in the Summer, perhaps hook up with other Pleo owners in the park....Obsessed? Us? No way....Pleo_happy_w1200

Robotic Arm gives your fingers a rest

Robotarm

Build yourself this mini-replica of those automatons found in car plants across the globe, lift, grip, grasp and twist your on-desk stationary into its holding bay or perhaps give yours a fork and see if you can steer the food from plate to palate. Late night snackers can use the on-board LED light to assist their mission. We think it looks great and is one for adults and kids to enjoy. Ours is still sporting an L plate but has managed to knock over two cups of coffee but hit the correct button on our keyboard and successfully adjust the volume switch on our DAB. Yours for £30 at Red5

1_fullsize Stylophone fans can now knock out a few electronic riffs without their plastic box to hand as Firebox have just launched their virtual version. Its perfect for a quick fix mid-afternoon as you sit at your desk yearning to be home with your Rolf Harris electric squeal machine. Once you have sampled the delights of the said machine you'll be needing to find plenty of tunage to play on yours and we've found a mighty fine Facebook group devoted to the the collation of playlists for you to go forth and impress.

Designed for pre-schoolers for learning but great for the whole family to have a laugh with at Easter time, the aim of Lucky Ducks is to match the colours and shapes to the little ducklings as they swim around the motorized pond. A VERY simple games yes, but loads of fun when played with your kids – or when the kids are asleep...whatever works for you!

One small Step for Man, One Giant Leap for Modern Lighting

MoonFor those of you who will never get to visit the moon – well that’s most of us unless you have a small fortune sitting in your bank account - The Moon in My Room is the closest you’ll get to the real thing. The Moon is an accurate replica of the moon (obviously not in size) and is designed to be mounted on your bedroom wall. You can control the phases of the moon using the mini remote or leave it on automatic and watch it go through 12 stages from Waning Crescent to New Moon. Haven’t got a clue what that means?
