Mountaineering expedition of sorts in your back garden

 

Unless you're unlucky enough to have active tectonic plates beneath your home then it is unlikely a mountain will surface anytime soon, which is great news unless you have budding mountaineers with a desire to practice their scaling skills. Walking the tightrope is a trciky business and perhpas best kept under the big top for the professionals, "Slackin" however brings similar principles to the masses. The Royal Veterinary College tell us to avoid throwing sticks for Fido to retreive due to the horrific injuries it can cause, we'll not bang on about the various incidents that have been seen or even mention an over eager nanny state with little better to do than release a report whose statistics for "stick injury" seem fairly low. Ever looked at the stacked shelves in a toy emporium and thought you could create a competitor? A toy to triumph among the myriads on offer, your very own idea brought to life and marketed alongside the kit from the major manufacturers? Well this years clever PR trick from Argos calls for budding designers to do just that. The winner will see their idea up on the shelves in time for next Xmas and there is £500 as well as the kudos of seeing your creation competing for shelf space.

New console launches are usually backed with billion dollar marketing budgets, but a Dutch company by the name of Swinx aren’t taking on the big boys, but offering a title rich gaming machine with a traditional twist that’ll set tongues a wagging.
